Red Canopy

Ballsbridge is famed for its trees from its treelined  canal borders and street pavements to its tree adorned Herbert Park. It's special of course at this time of year when the leaves turn colour - from green to yellows and golds and deep reds and I start to surmise how long the colourful canopy will last before it falls to a crunch underfoot. It won't be long too before winter winds toss and swirl what was a canopy to mounds of leaves that eventually disappear into a bleak and empty late winter clearing the way for Spring.
