It's an unusual one even in the host city of Dublin for Ireland to beat France in the 6 Nations and beat them they did on Valentine's Day. It was a game lacking the usual French flair of colourful tries and yet France was the only side to try after 70 minutes in. Defence and penalties make for poor entertainment although the clash of giants made for heavy scrums and shuddering battles throughout. Its a wonder the roar of the Aviva Stadium never reaches the Mews' garden when its only an 8 minute walk away. Irish friends of course commiserated with French fans in the famed rugby going bars of Searsons and the Waterloo both a 5 minute walk from Kavanagh's Mews. The Mews is the perfect place to stay for six nation fans everywhere.
