The herb garden at the rear of the Mews is in full summer swing. The sun has been pouring into the warm limestone wall enclosed space. It behaves like a mini country estate walled garden...it's walls draw in the heat of the sun and keep it for days, weeks in fact... protecting the soil at its base and warming it consistently and over a long spell. Garden and green space is unusual in dublin 4,2 and 1. So the privelage of a green space that can be productive and grow food in is a real treasure in the overall scheme of urban living and the changing fortunes of time. Our guests enjoy a choice of fresh herbs from the Mews' garden...mint, lavender, thyme, marjoram, coriander, tarragon and bay...for teas, infusions or cooking.
