Dublin Canvas is a community art project that brings flashes of vibrant colour and creativity to Dublin City. It's a glorious nod to less grey and more play. The project takes previously unused public objects and transforms them into canvases to brighten up the City for locals and visitors alike. Dublin Canvas uses traffic light control boxes as canvases for artists to exhibit their artwork to the public.
The below map displays exact locations of artwork completed. All of which are marked in red. Completed artwork brightens up and turned these once dull, heavily tagged boxes into beautiful works of art, transforming Dublin City and surrounding areas into a walking gallery of public art.
My favourite of course is the colourful and animated Patrick Kavanagh and Brendan Beahan on Upper Baggot Street...pictured here.
